Birds of Acadia

More than 300 species of birds breed in, live in, or migrate through Acadia, and the park sites provide critical habitat and stop-over points for many. Birds are an essential part of the parks’ aesthetic environment and they also fill an important niche in park ecosystems as seed distributors, pollinators, insect and rodent eaters, and scavengers
